We are excited to announce that local boy Joshua Thornton is joining the Corowa RSL Club team. Josh has a long history with the Corowa RSL Club has taken on the new role of Customer Service Manager of the gaming floor. His outgoing personality and friendly nature is perfect for this role. With fresh ideas and a great attitude his appointment at the Corowa RSL Club is another positive move for the business which will delight members and other team members who have known Josh for many years.

Josh has maintained a great relationship with the Corowa Services Bowling Club since beginning his bowling career at the Corowa RSL under the tutelage of his pop Bill Bryant and local bowler Stan McLarty. Josh has decided he will bowl for the Corowa Services Bowling Club upon his return, as a 2018 Commonwealth Gold Medalist we are absolutely thrilled with his decision.

Returning to the Corowa region after 8 years away Josh and his lovely wife are starting their family and with ‘Baby Thornton’ due in September they thought now was the time to move closer to family. We can only imagine how thrilled Josh’s parents Kate and Lex are with this news!

Josh has been working for Bowls Australia since 2011 and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it but decided it’s time for a change and the natural progression after being around clubs with his bowling career was to shift into the club’s industry. Josh said “Starting a family is so exciting and having the great place to work whilst we transition into a family of three is really important, I am really looking forward to working at the RSL with the new CEO Peter Norris the job came up at the perfect time”.

We are incredibly excited to have Josh join the Corowa RSL team, please welcome Josh aboard when you see him around the club.
